07.03.11 - Well, after a hugely frustrating 3 months, we are delighted to be able to confirm that the "GBBR Show is back on the road". Having survived massive problems regarding the date and finish location of the event, coupled with a major change of sponsors, we are now truly 'off and running'. As can be seen from our Home Page, we have two new sponsors in place, with TNT generously supporting in the role of Title Partner and Vauxhall kindly providing the bulk of the transport necessary for our team of volunteers. We now arrive at Twickenham to coincide with the Vauxhall Middlesex Charity 7's and are working closely with Wooden Spoon the main beneficiary of the 7's Event. We are hopeful that we now have in place a united team of sponsors, partners and charities that will enable the GBBR to become an established element of the British sporting calendar and to achieve the charity target of £1Million pounds in the next 5 years.

25.02.11 - Briiliant news, thanks to assistance from Wooden Spoon, TNT are now on board as main title sponsor for the Event and Vauxhall have agreed to 'sign up' as a Gold Sponsor and provide transport. More details to follow as arrangements are finalised over the next couple of weeks. Wooden Spoon will join our group of benefitting charities.

10.02.11 - Following the problems experienced finalsing dates and arrangements for the GBBR 's arrival at Twickenham, we are delighted to advise that we have been invited by the Middlesex Charity Sevens organisation to join them at Twickenham on Saturday 9th July. This means that the Ride will now take place between Tuesday 5th July and Saturday the 9th. Full details will be incorporated in a Press Release to be issued shortly.

25.01.11 - Sadly, we have still not been able to finalise arrangements for the arrival at Twickenham due to problems concerning the dates of the Double Header. This being World Cup Year combined with plans for a Charity Rock Concert at Twickenham Stadium in the Summer means that we may need to review the event and consider alternative dates. As soon as any changes are finalised the information will be displayed on the website home page and any potential riders will be informed individualy.

28.08.10 - Numerous local press, radio and TV reports / Interviews as the Bank Holiday and start day draw close. Ovenight base Camp Rugby Clubs finalise entertainment arrangements and coaching sessions offered by Graham Dawe at Ivel Barbarians.

Born in Plymouth Graham Dawe was one of the unsung heroes of Bath's 'Golden Era' during the 1980s and 90s. A fierce competitor at all times 'Dawsie', who used to undertake the 300 mile round trip from his farm in Devon to train and play for the club, was one one of the game's true hard men. A hooker of considerable talent, the tales of his personal battle with Brian Moore for the England position is the stuff of legends.
